The Association for advancement of gender equality Akcija Zdruzhenska – Skopje in partnership with the Institute for Community Development from Tetovo, on 31.05.2016 at Hotel Lirak Tetovo held a one-day training on “Gender equality in EU accession”. The purpose of the training is to strengthen the capacity of local civil society organizations in terms of their role in advocating gender equality issue in the EU accession taking into consideration the principles, policies and strategic approaches of the European Union in promoting gender equality.
The training was attended by 21 representatives of civil society organizations and local governments from the Polog region, who introduced tool for advocacy and monitoring of gender issues and upgraded their knowledge on how to prepare contribution in the process of the consultations during the preparation to the progress report of the European commission for Republic of Macedonia.
