The goal of the publication “Gender equality in local budgets” is the advancement the treatment of gender related issues within the programs and budget planning processes at the local level by strengthening the knowledge and skills of local NGOs for monitoring and advocating of the specific needs of the women within the budget planning process, providing relevant information for priority needs of the women expressed by the women themselves and promoting the relevance of the issue of gender equality in the managing of public finances among women from the community, local activists, and local authorities.
This publication is prepared within the project “Gender equality in local budgets” supported by the USAID funded project for Civil Society implemented by Foundation Open Society Macedonia.
