Akcija Zduzenska in the period June-July 2016 organized six meetings for promotion of the summary findings from the monitoring of gender equality in the budget processes in Bitola, Gostivar, Tetovo, Debar, Kumanovo and Sveti Nikole conducted during June 2015 – January 2016. The meetings were organized in partnership with 6 local women NGOs’: Radika-De (Debar), Women’s Forum (Tetovo), Center for women’s rights “Etika” (Gostivar), WCI “Klea” (Bitola), GIZ (Sveti Nikole) and Women’s Center “Woman of the 21st century” (Kumanovo), involved in the mentorship program within the project “Gender equality in local budgets”.
The meetings were attended by representatives from different structures of the local self-governments: Coordinators for equal opportunities of women and men, members of the Commission for equal opportunities of women and men and other sectors of the local administration and the council, as well as members of local women NGOs.
The project “Gender equality in local budgets” is supported by the USAID funded project for Civil Society implemented by Foundation Open Society Macedonia.
