Akcija Zdruzenska participated in two study visits in Kosovo in the course of implementation of the supported sub-grants implemented by Women’s Forum Tetovo and Centr for Women’s rights Etika Gostivar. Sub-grants are granted within the project “Equality and Gender Mainstreaming Across Borders”, supported by the EU in the framework of the IPA instrument for cross – border cooperation between Macedonia and Kosovo, implemented by Akcija Zdruzhenska-Skopje and Community Development Institute-Tetovo.
In the first study visit on 25 May 2016 in Prizren-Kosovo, participated Macedonian group of 15 representatives from national and local NGO and LSG, including women targeted by the project. The study visit was hosted by Association of Artisans and Businessmen-Prizren Kosovo with participation of its members and representatives of municipality of Prizren. The study visit was used for organizing networking meeting with project partner KGSC-Pristina, Dora Dores Prizren and grantees representatives from the Kosovo side.
In the second study visit on 5 June 2016 in Kamenica –Kosovo, participated Macedonian group of 17 representatives and members of Center for women’s rights Etika Gostivar and Female Center Gostivar, hosted by partnering NGO Fortesa – Kamenica. During the study visit, considering that Kamenica is not in the cross-border project region, specific information on the broader context of project purpose and expected results, the status of implementation, as well as project outputs (research fact sheets, and other printed materials) were exchanged. Also common contextual challenges and situation with status of women was discussed, including opportunities for future-cross border cooperation between the NGOs, involving local self governments of Kamenica and Gostivar as municipality that have experience in implementing cross border projects was discussed.
