The two-module training program (2 four-day seminars
with practical tasks for participants between the two modules) is intended for
women’s NGO members of both genders.
Training program’s goal is to assist women’s NGO in :
Shifting the focus from social issues to issues that address women’s
status;
Recognizing the place of women’s organizations in wider context and
their role in the development of gender-balanced society and of civil
society as a whole;
Identifying the most appropriate model and frame for organization’s
operation and management.
Exchange of information and experiences, and mutual familiarization.
The Program consists of combined basic contents on the following topics:
Defining gender and gender roles;
Their impact on the imbalanced distribution of power within the society
and the societal position of men and women;
History of women’s movement, values and principles that guide it;
Discrimination, women’s rights concept;
Role of NGOs, with special emphasis on women’s NGOs;
Challenges for the NGO sector’s stability;
Mapping the women’s NGO sector in Macedonia;
Needs assessment;
Strategic planning;
Fundraising and project writing;
Management/leadership;
Team work;
Volunteering;
Networking and establishing coalitions;
Public relations.
