Macedonia 2009 Progress Report on Gender Equality

Association of Citizens Akcija Zdruzhenska and Association for Emancipation,
Solidarity and Equality of Women in RM- ESE have prepared a report :"Macedonia
2009 Progress Report on Gender Equality", as their contribution to the
process of preparation of the EC 2009 Progress Report for the Republic of
Macedonia.

This report represents a summary of the progress achieved in the area of
gender equality in the Republic of Macedonia.

It is important to emphasize the fact that this is the first year of
intensified interest in progress in the area of gender equality and women’s
rights, followed by more extensive consultations with the women’s share of civil
society by the EC.

The data and information provided within the report followed the structure of
the previous Progress reports.
