First working session towards standardization of direct services to domestic violence victims

The Association Citizens Akcija Zdruzenska-Skopje and the Association for
Emancipation, Solidarity and Equality of Women in the Republic of Macedonia, in
the period 12-13.10.2006 in Skopje organized First working session for
representatives from Social Care Centers and NGOs which provide direct services
to the domestic violence victims.

This is the first of the serial working sessions within the project
“Establishing Unified and Positive Practices in Combating Domestic violence in
Macedonia”, as part of activities towards standardization of the providers of
direct services to domestic violence victims.

The purpose of these working sessions is defining unified standards for
providing better services towards the victims of domestic violence, foreseen in
Family law. Prepared standards will be adopted in compliance with the Social
protection law standards and they will be part of the mandate of all social
services providers.
