Seminar: Gender equality in Local Self-Governments: experience and practice

The Association of Citizens Akcija Zdruzhenska, in the
framework of its program activities for integration of the gender equality issue
into the policies and plans for development of the local self-government units,
organized one-day seminar, “Gender equality in Local Self-Governments:
experience and practice” on June 27, 2007 in Hotel Kontinental, Skopje.

The purpose of the seminar was an exchange of experience between nine
municipalities (Kumanovo, Bitola, Debar, Stip, Gradsko, Lozovo, Vinica, Sveti
Nikole and Chashka ) embraced with the activities for strengthening of the
capacity of the local governs for integration of the gender equality conducted
during 2006 and 2007.
