The series “Building authentic local women’s activism”

The series “Building authentic local women’s activism” aims to promote women’s civic participation and
consists of four short videos in which five women from different locations share their challenges,
experiences and positive changes from the process of education, mobilization and advocacy in the local
self-governments units.
In the first video “Women on neighborhood unites” women talk about their experiences with
neighborhood unites, in the second “Women on public engagement” they talk about the challenges of
getting involved in political life in their communities, in the third “Women enter the municipality” they
share their experiences in advocacy initiatives in the local self-governments units and in the fourth video
“Learning about activism” talk about the process of learning and activation within their communities.
Тhese videos were produced in the framework of the project „Active Women, Accountable
Governments III“ implemented by the Association for advancement of gender equality Akcija
Zdruzhenska-Skopje.
