Unpaid care for children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities—most often carried out by women—remains insufficiently recognized in local policies. For this reason, LAG Agro Leader has launched the initiative “Women Ask – Our Care is Visible,” aimed at highlighting the importance of this issue and driving institutional change.
Through the initiative, personal stories and testimonies are being collected from women in the community to reflect the real challenges they face in their daily lives. A public forum with representatives of the local government is also planned, where a dialogue on needs and possible solutions will be opened.
As part of the activities, concrete proposals and measures will be developed, including the establishment of day care centers, the development of care services, and increased support for families. In addition, an online campaign will be conducted, along with an open letter to enhance the accountability of the responsible institutions.
The organizers emphasize that their goal is clear—to make unpaid care visible, valued, and systematically supported. They call on all women to share their experiences and contribute to the creation of policies that respond to the real needs of the community.
