On July 29, 2025, a workshop was held in Karatmanovo, Municipality of Lozovo, with local women from rural areas. The workshop focused on familiarizing participants with existing socio-economic measures and how to apply them in everyday life. The women actively discussed the opportunities these measures provide, as well as their own needs and the challenges they face.
During the workshop, participants proposed several new measures tailored to the specific needs of women in this community — such as the introduction of subsidized bus lines or organized public transport to nearby municipalities (Sveti Nikole and Veles), installation of an ATM in the village, improved access to healthcare services, elderly care services, and support for women farmers.
The training was conducted by the team of the Civic Women’s Initiative Sveti Nikole, as part of the project “Women Take the Lead in Local Communities,” implemented by The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation, Akcija Zdruzhenska, and the Humanitarian Association Majka – Kumanovo, funded by the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia and co-funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje.
