On December 15, a public debate on the 2026 budget of the Sveti Nikole Municipality was held, with active participation from the Civic Initiative of Women – GIŽ Sveti Nikole, together with women from rural communities, including the villages of Sopot, Gorobinci, Peshirovo, Crnilishte, Erdželija, and Mustafino.
Through their participation, the women highlighted the priority issues and needs of their communities and requested their resolution. They also became familiar with the municipality’s plans for 2026 for the villages they come from, providing them with direct insight into how funds and resources will be allocated.
This active participation represents a significant step toward greater inclusion of women in the creation of local policies, advocating for the voices of rural women, and ensuring transparent and responsible decision-making regarding the local budget.
GIŽ Sveti Nikole stated that they will continue to strengthen the role of women in decision-making processes and advocate for the development of communities based on the real needs of women.
