The women from the Radika-DE Association in Debar and its branch in Centar Zhupa welcomed the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ola Sohlström, who, together with his team, visited the Women’s Centre in Centar Zhupa. The visit provided an opportunity for the Ambassador to learn more about the women’s work and daily activities, the challenges they face, as well as their needs and opportunities for economic empowerment.

During the visit, the women presented traditional handicrafts, handmade jewellery, products made from wild forest fruits, and natural teas. The guests also had the opportunity to taste traditional specialities prepared by local women, showcasing the rich local traditions and cultural heritage of Debar and Centar Zhupa.

The visit provided an opportunity for exchange and encouragement for women in their efforts towards greater economic independence and active participation in the development of their local communities. The interest and support expressed by the Swedish Ambassador and his team are an important recognition of the women’s work, knowledge and contribution, as well as an encouragement to create new opportunities for women from local and rural communities.
