On February 12, an informational workshops for sub grantees was held at the premises of the Civil Resources Center focused on financial and narrative reporting within the project “Women take the lead in local communities”. The project is funded by the Delegation of the European Union and co-funded by Sweden and it is implemented by the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation in partnership with the Association for the Advancement of Gender Equality – Akcija Zdruzhenska and the Humanitarian Association “Majka”, Kumanovo.
“We continue to” support local women’s activism in these turbulent times for women’s rights and gender equality. We have seven selected local organizations that are sub-grantees and I am very pleased that, as a team we will continue to strengthen women’s leadership in local communities”, said Marija Savovska, Executive Director of Akcija Zdruzhenska, addressing the attendees.
Sub-granting is a key component of the action and builds on the decades-long experience and best practices of Kvinna till Kvinna and Akcija Zdruzhenska. The supported sub-grantees will play a crucial role in empowering women leaders in local communities – primarily in local and rural areas – through their active participation in decision-making processes at the local level.
