“Understanding Socio-Economic Measures and Their Application in Rural Communities” was the title of an informative and educational workshop on active women’s participation held in Erdželija, Sveti Nikole, organized by the team of the Civic Women’s Initiative (GIZ). Women from two different communities took part in the workshop. Граѓанската иницијатива на жени (ГИЖ) се одржа во во Ерџелија. На работилницата учествуваа жени од две различни заедници.
The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize the broader women’s community with the current socio-economic measures provided by the municipality and how to make use of them.
During the workshop, new measures addressing the socio-economic needs of women in rural areas were proposed. The workshops also serve as preparation for future participation of women in local advocacy activities with municipal authorities.
These activities are part of the project “Women Take the Lead in Local Communities,” implemented by The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation, Akcija Zdruzhenska, and the Humanitarian Association Majka – Kumanovo, funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje.
